Naren goes to Changi Airport once again to tell you how you can be entertained by and travel the world with Spongebob.
Ever felt the urge to travel but did not have the money to do so? Spongebob can help with that as statues of him appear around the airport in different parts of the world, providing you with a round the world trip with a twist to start 2014 off beautifully.
First up, Spongebob in Russia. Spongebob stands next to the famous St Basil’s Cathedral, making for a great photo and an interesting place to find out more about Russia because not too far from Spongebob, there are panels which tell you more about St Basil’s Cathedral and Russia.

If you want to be entertained by Spongebob, his pineapple house at Terminal 3 Departure hall has a show which lasts four minutes.
(Show times: 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm daily).
Not going to give away too much but, it is quite entertaining because at the shows end, there will be white balls for you to collect to redeem Spongebob merchandise. First, you get the ball:
Touch an iPad screen which will randomly give you one of these prizes: Stickers (the most common one you will get), water bottles, watch, pens.
If that is not enough, you can bring back one of six Spongebob plush toys when you spend $60 in a single receipt in the Airport’s Public Area. Although there is a specific toy of the week, the staff will still let you choose which toy you want.
Any guesses which one I took?
Give up?
Hint: “I will steal the secret Krabby Patty formula one day!”
In conclusion, if you are looking to have a quick snapshot of the world and can tolerate Spongebob (Personally, I find him quite annoying but due to childhood memories, I tolerated him), come on down to Changi Airport for New Year’s Eve.
Spongebob will be there until 5th Jan 2014.
